- el embajador en bote, en el Tigre, luego de un almuerzo ofrecido en
el Tigre Boating Club (TBC) por el intendente del partido de Tigre (el
vecinalista Ricardo Ubieto), el presidente de la Asociacion Argentina
de Remo y deportistas y dirigentes de ese deporte. Luego del almuerzo
y como una forma de promocionar la regata que se celebraria en noviembre,
en un bote de cinco, el embajador y otros cuatro expertos timoneles (Eric
Weil, John Jarbis, Peter Edward y Axel Hogg), remaron mas de 2000 metros
desde el TBC hasta el Tigre Club, por el rio Lujan

La despedida de un embajador «Sendoff for British ambassador The now-former Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Argentina, William Marsden, completed a week-long series of goodbye ceremonies and send-off parties. Marsden was officially feted by the Argentine government in a small luncheon at the San Martin Palace. The British diplomat represented the United Kingdom for the last seven years, during which time bilateral relations were re-established, commercial links grew, and President Carlos Menem made a historic visit to England. Marsden said yesterday, on his 60th birthday, that the prospect of leaving Argentina filled him with sorrow.
